Presented by Doug Marranci
Coming in February
Doug comes from a family, two generations back,
involved in the food service industry. His experience
has included everything from working with his parents
in family owned operations to working with renowned chefs
in country club and upscale settings including California & American
to the Haute Cuisine indicative of the best contenental restaurants.
His Restaurant experience spans more than 35 years.
As owner of seven restaurants in the Carolinas,
Doug created the concepts and saw them through, from the initial idea,
to building out the locations, developing menus / procedures
and making them a reality. These operations ran a gamut
from Coffee Houses to upscale white tablecloth Mediterranean dining
After successfully operating and selling his last two restaurants,
using his vast experience in the industry, Doug has pursued a career
acting as a broker specializing in the sale, location and leasing
of Restaurants, Bars and Nightclubs.
He chose to locate his business in the Greater Atlanta area
because of its reputation as a Mecca for a population
devoted to dinning out, evidenced by the incredible number
of restaurants in close proximity of the city.
Atlantans love and support independent restaurants.
The dining experiences offered by the thriving and creative restaurants
that line Atlanta's thoroughfares and byways offer dining experiences
that rival any other dining capital and parallel the experiences
offered by other major cities including:
New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Doug has spent his entire career in the restaurant industry
and is devoted to promoting its success by sharing
his vast store of operational and promotional experience.
With Restaurant experience
of more than 35 years, owner of seven restaurants and being involved in the sale of 5 restaurants
and many transactions as a Broker with National Restaurant Associates
in Charlotte North Carolina gives me the experience to work
with a diversity of clients seeking a success within the restaurant industry.
This new chapter will bring a wealth of Locally Produced speciality goods to market, and assist hundreds of people to achieve their dream of making a business out of doing what they love - Cooking! This, as well as creating Food Truck Kitchens will give Atlantan's such a wonderful variety of Delicious specialty foods that are just not widely available now.
Entrepreneurial Opportunities..
At our meet and greet, we have received so much input about what YOU want to see us do. While we can not be everything to everyone, we have received some excellent suggestions which will benefit everyone. Many people have asked about contract pricing and how many hours must be reserved. We will not have a requirement for a specific number of hours, rather a sliding scale based on how many hours you use. The more hours you use, the lower the price per hour. Those who use more hours will have the advantage of preferential scheduling.
One of my favorite projects is Culinary Incubator in Houston Texas. They have so many exciting things going on all the time! They are a great inspiration to our project. Take a look at their website: www.KitchenIncubator.com
Ours is also an economic development project! We have 600 people on our mailing list who are looking for a project like ours. We hear that time after time that so many people were supporting themselves with baking and cooking projects using many different commercial kitchens.
These people went to renew their business licenses this year, and were forced out of business when they could not get a business license. As recently as a few months ago, the local farmers markets require each producer to have his or her own licensed food service establishment.
We will put MANY people back to work, doing what they love, and doing what they need to do to produce an income in this desperate economy. Food Truck owners call us every day.. So many people who were out of work or in transition spent a fortune on Food Trucks only to have them as a yard decoration because there is no where for them to go. Our food truck commissary kitchens will help put these people on the road very soon!
Today, Everyone wants to know "Where does my food come from?" With hundreds of unique producers under one roof, we will form a co-op marketing segment which will let Restaurants and Wholesome Food Stores find many excellent and local products under one roof. We will help you to get in front of the buyers from specialty grocery chains as well as restaurants who want to serve locally sourced and locally produced foods. This process has begun, take a look at LocalFoodSource.net
We have an in house internet marketing team, and when you work with Independent Kitchen Solutions, people will know who you are, and what you are producing. This is a HUGE BOON to restaurant operators since we will be a one stop shop for food products produced in an approved food production facility!
There are many opportunities to build your own business within our walls. There will be plenty of office space for rent. We believe that there would be room for a food packaging company to set up shop. Many people will need rental equipment. Organization and distribution of unique products. With a creative mind, there are opportunities within our business for you to launch your next great idea.
